About Me

I am Braix, the creator, and maga, of this wiki and the self appointed number one Mike and Melissa fan. I used to consider someone else in that role, and myself as number two, but that time has passed a horrible filter of anger and drama I don't really wanna get into here.

I created this wiki with the goal of having a public center of all Mike and Melissa related information. Before, most of it was locked to the Church of Purple Skunk discord server, whether it was scattered across the channels or locked tightly behind a secret one. I wanted myself, fellow Mike and Melissa-heads, and anyone curious really to be able to get factual information easily about this series and the people behind it.

Before I did any of that though, I was very involved in the fandom for years. I made multiple (joke) fan series concepts—two even getting video to go along with it—other videos, art, and writings; a great number of pages on the fandom wiki, the finding of links and images that lead to us learning more about Mike and Melissa, and simply being part of the community—which made the drama and split really hurt.

I still feel strongly for the creation of Mike and his friends and become very upset at the reactions of those who do not understand it. I LOVE this series! I love the potential it had/has, whether is a continuation of the main series through the scripts, the "self-fanfiction" that Ann posted about, the fanon timelines, or even a non Mike and Melissa related project that explores the themes of tulpamancy. It's rough art style helped free me from the curse of perfectionism; the curse of seeing art as nothing but a commodity; the curse of seeing my own art as worthless unless it's to the tastes of whoever decided what was "good" or "bad". My view on art has gone from seeing it as if it were an object to seeing it as another form of expression, where skill does not matter but is still able to be appreciated. My life could of been worse if I never got recommended that saltydkdan video and didn't watch the original for myself, even through me scrolling down to avoid, at the time. what I thought was cringe.
